Very Nice Locationless Cache List

For those of you who try the locationless terracaches, but haven't had time to read the forums.. I found this nice little gem earlier. It is a more concise up-to-date list of locationless terracaches. It makes searching by item possible, and gives you great over view. The site is maintained by globalgirl. If you find it useful be sure to thank her for her hard work!

LOCATIONLESS TERRACACHE SEARCH

Traveling Letterbox

I worked on a new traveler stamp last night for Katiefrog. I think I'm going to call it "Katie's Katch". This is the one I mentioned before with the waterproof bag. I have been looking high and low for a good container, and I think I finally found one that will work last night. Redoggy isn't convinced it will work the way I intend it yet, but we'll see.

I plan to take a picture to go with it tonight and get it posted. It will make it's debut at the "Fishin' for Letterboxes" event in Eustace here in a few weeks. Katie's really excited about it and wants all the "stuff" when the event is over, so I may have to move this traveler to a different "container" afterwards. Be sure to check it out, and ask Katiefrog where her favorite fishing spot is!

Locationless Terracache

I've been going through all the locationless terracaches on my palm pilot, recently. I am trying to put a keyword or something in caps before each title, so when I see something while I'm out, I can easily find the cache that corresponds with the particular item.

As I'm going through these, I seem to be building this huge mental list. It seems I can't even drive to work without seeing something that fits one of these categories and mentally comparing it to what I remember of the requirements for claiming it.

A good example of this occurred this morning. I was driving into work and happened to notice a pair of tennis shoes hanging from an electric line. (slams on brakes) Tennis shoes on an electric line?!? Woohoo! (don't try this at home folks... see warning at top of site)

I wanted to stop this morning and get the picture for "Hanging Shoes (LCB9)", but there was someone behind me and no where to pull over(damn drivers trying to get to work). However, I did make note of their location, and I was able to block the road and get a shot during lunch. I'm sure the landscaper I passed a few houses before, who saw me taking pictures, must have thought I was insane! Here's the picture I posted:

Geocaching

I also managed to find a couple of geocaches near work that are not micro containers. Here's a list of some I plan to hit soon:

"Late Again" GCNFHQ
"Thanks" GC103XG
"Scribe" GCR3VY

"Late Again" is supposed to be a medium size container near the speedway. From the sound of the logs, it's not where you would first suspect. I always have fun trying to figure these out!

I drove by "Thanks" on the way back from "hanging shoes", but didn't feel like trekking through the terrain there today. It's supposed to be a big bucket cache full of items. I have an idea where it might be, and I think it would be more fun to hit with the kids this weekend.

"Scribe" is a multi-cache. After doing the multi-terracache, I'm looking forward to trying this one.
